Scope and Contents ff.I + 40 + I; 220 x 155mm; text size 190 x 144mm; 25 lines written on recto only, bound.Translated by Henry Nott, LMS, this MS was written by King Pomare II, an enthusiastic supporter of the missionaries’ work in Tahiti. After King Pomare died the MS reverted to Henry Nott who, in 1823, presented it to George Bennet, LMS, by whom it was presented to the BFBS, May 10th, 1830.Three editions of St. John were printed between 1820 and 1821.
